The plastic bottle is a practical and versatile solution for packaging liquid and slightly viscous preparations where cleanliness, easy handling and reliable dosing are important. Thanks to its well-designed shape and comfortable ergonomics, it fits well in the hand, which facilitates filling, storage and everyday use in home cosmetics, artisanal production and small-scale manufacturing of products.
The packaging is designed to be suitable for a variety of formulations – from watery solutions and toners through to light emulsions. The smooth surface of the bottle is ideal for applying labels and branding, so the final product appears professional and consistent across the entire product line.
Individual bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the specific product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – check sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, so that the final product is stable and comfortable for the user.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the enclosed packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is important to thoroughly wash the bottle, rinse it and then disinfect it, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after it has completely dried is the packaging ready for reuse with a new filling.
First remove all residues of the original product, rinse the packaging with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, and then thoroughly rinse with clean water. Then apply disinfection using alcohol – for example the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After treatment, allow the packaging to dry completely at room temperature in a clean place, and only then proceed to fill it with the new contents.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the extended filter in the packaging materials category. After clicking on the relevant category, the option to filter according to several parameters – for example neck type, size, colour or material – is displayed at the top of the page. This allows you to quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that will match your formulation as well as the visual requirements for the final product.
Plastic packaging of this type is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, therefore boiling or washing it in a dishwasher is not recommended. Under excessive thermal stress, the material may deform and the sealing properties of the closure may deteriorate. For cleaning and disinfection, it is more appropriate to use lukewarm water and alcohol-based disinfectant solutions that are gentle on the material.
If you decide not to use the packaging any longer, we recommend recycling it as a priority according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters. First empty the bottle, remove any remaining contents and rinse the packaging. Then sort it into the appropriate container for separated waste according to the material marking on the label or in the product description. By sorting correctly, you support the reprocessing of the plastic and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
The choice of closure depends on the consistency and the way your product is used. For watery solutions, classic screw caps or droppers are practical, for toners and sprays sprayers are suitable, and for thicker preparations various types of applicators can be convenient. When choosing, follow the neck designation in the product parameters, and before placing the product on the market always test the sealing, dosing and overall behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.
