Product description

The plastic bottle with aluminium closure is a practical, professional-looking packaging solution suitable for a variety of liquid and slightly viscous formulations. Thanks to the reliable screw cap, it helps protect the contents from leakage and contamination, which is ideal when producing cosmetics, hygiene products or concentrated blends for home DIY projects. The material of the bottle is designed to be lightweight, robust and suitable for everyday use in both small and larger filling runs.

The packaging is suitable for filling various liquid products where reliable sealing, easy handling and convenient dosing during use are required. Thanks to its practical shape, the bottle fits comfortably in the hand, is easy to fill and takes up a minimum amount of space during storage and transport. The elegant metal cap also gives the packaging a professional appearance, which is suitable for final retail packaging as well.

Possible uses

  • shampoos, conditioners, shower gels and liquid soaps
  • body and facial lotions, toners, facial and body oils
  • cleansing and micellar solutions, make-up removers and facial serums with lower viscosity
  • aromatherapeutic blends, massage oils and carrier oils for essential oils (with an appropriately selected dosing method)
  • homemade cleaning solutions, concentrates and technical liquids intended for hobby and craft use
  • laboratory and pilot-scale samples of liquid formulations for testing and archiving

Advantages of the packaging

  • Material stability – the plastic used for the bottle is designed for regular use in cosmetic and technical formulations, provided that the recommended temperature range during filling, storage and transport is observed.
  • Protection of the contents – the screw system in combination with the aluminium cap ensures a tight closure that helps minimise the contact of the contents with air and limits the risk of unintended leakage.
  • Low weight and impact resistance – the plastic bottle is significantly lighter than a glass vial and there is no risk of breakage if it is dropped, which is advantageous for frequent carrying or parcel shipping.
  • Practical design for home and professional use – the compact shape, good grip and visually attractive metal cap make this packaging a suitable solution for small manufactories, artisan production and personal DIY projects.
  • Possibility of reuse – with proper cleaning and disinfection, the bottle can be reused, which helps to reduce the amount of waste and to make the consumption of packaging material more efficient.

Combining with closures and dispensers

The bottles in this category are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the products on Handymade. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.

The packaging is intended for normal temperature conditions during storage and use. It is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, boiling or use in a dishwasher, because this may lead to deformation of the bottle or an impact on its mechanical stability. When handling hot fills, it is necessary to respect the recommended temperature range specified in the packaging documentation.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this plastic bottle be used repeatedly?

The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed and as long as it is not visibly damaged or deformed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected – for disinfection we recommend, for example, technical isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. After rinsing and drying the packaging, it is recommended to carry out a trial filling with a small amount of product to verify the sealing of the closure and the behaviour of the material with the specific formulation.

What should I pay attention to regarding temperature when filling and using this plastic bottle?

The plastic packaging is not intended for exposure to high temperatures. When in contact with excessively hot fills or during prolonged heating, the bottle walls may gradually deform, the shape of the thread may change or the sealing of the cap may deteriorate. The packaging is not suitable for boiling, sterilisation in boiling water or washing in a dishwasher. If you need to hot-fill the product, we recommend checking the maximum permitted temperature in the packaging quality certificate and first performing a small trial filling.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before further use?

After emptying the bottle, it is first advisable to remove the residues of the original product with warm (not boiling) water and a suitable detergent that is compatible with the material used. You can then rinse the packaging with distilled or demineralised water and use alcohol-based solutions for final disinfection, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured. After applying the alcohol, allow the packaging to dry completely at room temperature, ideally upside down on a clean surface, so that any residual moisture is removed before refilling.

How can I properly recycle this bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters and on the recycling symbol on the packaging. Before placing it into sorted waste, it is advisable to rinse the bottle, remove any product residues and, where possible, separate the plastic bottle from the metal closure. The plastic body of the bottle is generally placed in the plastics container, and the metal cap in the metals container. However, specific recycling recommendations may differ depending on the local waste sorting system, so it is also advisable to follow the instructions of your local recycling centre or municipality.

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the extended filter in the packaging material category. After clicking on the relevant category, a filtering panel appears at the top of the page where you can sort packaging according to parameters such as neck type and diameter, overall size, colour or material used. By combining several filters, you can quickly narrow down the range to packaging that matches your formulation and visual requirements. If you are unsure, it is advisable to start with a smaller test quantity and verify the compatibility of the packaging with the specific product.

What is the practical difference between this plastic bottle and a glass vial?

The plastic bottle is significantly lighter and more resistant to breakage when dropped, which you will appreciate when shipping parcels, travelling or using it in the bathroom. The glass vial, on the other hand, offers higher chemical inertness and is suitable for some more sensitive formulations or products with a higher proportion of essential oils. When choosing, it is important to consider the nature of your formulation, the way it will be used and the expected handling. We always recommend making a trial batch in the chosen packaging and monitoring the stability of the product, the sealing of the cap and overall user comfort.
