Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean and disinfect the bottle thoroughly, ideally using alcoholic solutions such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. When reusing, always check the condition of the packaging and the cap and do not use damaged components.

After emptying the bottle, we recommend first thoroughly rinsing it with water and, if necessary, using a mild cleaning agent suitable for cosmetic packaging. Then rinse the packaging with clean water, remove foam residues and let it drain freely. After drying, apply disinfection using a suitable alcohol (for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable), making sure to treat the inside of the bottle as well as the thread. Before refilling, make sure that the packaging is dry and free of residues of cleaning agents.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of plastic material stated in the parameter table for the product on Handymade.sk. It is advisable to first empty the bottle as much as possible and rinse it to remove any remaining contents. Then sort the packaging into the appropriate container according to local waste‑sorting rules. You can sort the cap separately if it is made from a different type of plastic, or according to the recommendations of your collection system. By following the recycling instructions, you contribute to more efficient use of materials and a reduction in the amount of waste.

The bottle may also be compatible with other caps or dispensers that have identical neck and thread parameters. Before fitting an alternative cap, however, it is always important to carry out your own test – to check the sealing, comfort of dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific product (viscosity, oil content, alcohol, acidity and the like). Combinations of packaging and caps offered directly on Handymade are already tested and verified, therefore for your own combinations we recommend a smaller trial volume before putting them into full operation.
