The plastic bottle is a universal, lightweight and practical packaging solution suitable for filling a wide range of liquid and liquid-like preparations for cosmetic as well as craft use. The transparent material allows visual control of the contents, which you will appreciate for products where colour, clarity or the current fill level is important. Thanks to the stable plastic body, the bottle is ideal for home and semi-professional filling, testing smaller batches and preparing your own formulations.
This type of packaging is popular for the production of soap bases, toners, facial and body lotions, as well as for blending concentrated solutions, extracts and working solutions in the workshop or studio. With a suitably chosen closure or dispensing system, it provides functional, reliable and aesthetically clean packaging with easy handling and the option of repeated use, provided hygienic principles are observed.
The plastic bottle on its own is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options according to the parameters selected in the online shop. It can be combined, for example, with screw caps, dropper inserts, spray pumps or practical applicators, allowing you to tailor the application method to the specific product and its viscosity.
The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products containing alcohol, essential oils or a high proportion of acidic or alkaline components).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product specifications.
The plastic material of the PET type from which the bottle is made has its own specific characteristics in terms of use and maintenance. PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, at which it may soften and there is a risk of packaging deformation. For this reason, the packaging is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher or for boiling. Gentle manual cleaning with lukewarm water and a suitable detergent is recommended, followed by disinfection according to the recommendations in the FAQ section.
Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly with appropriate handling and regular maintenance. However, we always recommend observing basic hygiene principles – before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, dried and then disinfected. Alcohol-based preparations are particularly suitable for disinfecting the inner surface and accessories, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. In our range you will find, for example, the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based, which make it easy and effective to clean the packaging before reuse.
PET material is sensitive to high temperatures, so boiling or cleaning in a dishwasher is not recommended. Clean the bottle by hand using lukewarm water and a mild detergent, avoiding aggressive mechanical scrubbing that could scratch the surface. After thorough rinsing, allow the packaging to dry at room temperature. It is then advisable to disinfect the interior and the neck thread with an alcohol solution – for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination during the next filling.
Plastic packaging made from PET is generally well suited for products with a certain proportion of alcohol or essential oils, but the specific compatibility always depends on the composition of the final product. For higher concentrations of solvents or for combinations of several active substances, we recommend carrying out your own stability test – fill a small amount of product, monitor the behaviour of the material (colour changes, cloudiness, softening of the walls, impact on the closure sealing) and only after verifying long-term stability put the packaging into regular use. All packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional, but it is still advisable to verify compatibility with your specific formulation.
If you decide not to use the bottle any further, it is recommended to recover it in an environmentally friendly way by recycling. PET-type material is normally sorted into containers intended for plastic waste. Before placing it in separated collection, it is advisable to empty the packaging, wipe or rinse off any product residue and separate the closure or dispensing component if it is made of a different material (for example PP or PE), so that sorting can be as efficient as possible. You will find the specific recycling symbol and the recommended sorting method in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. By following local waste-sorting rules, you contribute to better recovery of plastic materials.
To make it easier to select a suitable bottle, jar or dropper bottle, you can use the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. After clicking on the relevant category, the filter is located at the top of the page and allows you to narrow down the range clearly according to several parameters. You can filter, for example, by neck type, size, colour or packaging material. Thanks to this, you will quickly find a combination of bottle and closure that best suits the viscosity and dispensing method of your product, whether it is cosmetics, technical solutions or other specialised preparations.
