The clear PET plastic bottle is a practical and lightweight packaging for cosmetic and technical liquid preparations where visual control of the contents is required. Thanks to its transparent design, it allows easy checking of the colour, clarity and approximate amount of product, which facilitates both dosing and presentation of the final product.
The clear plastic packaging is suitable for filling a wide range of liquid, gel or lightly viscous preparations that do not require special protection from light. PET material is lightweight, dimensionally stable during normal use and, with an appropriately selected closure, provides reliable sealing without undesirable leakage of the contents.
The standalone bottle is designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems. Depending on the selected parameters, it can be combined with screw caps, dropper inserts, spray pumps or practical applicators, allowing you to adapt dosing to the specific product type and method of use.
The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing performance, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for preparations containing alcohol, essential oils or other active substances.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
As this is packaging made of PET material, it is not suitable to expose it to high temperatures. In the case of excessive thermal load, there is a risk of deformation of the bottle, which may negatively affect the sealing of the closure and the overall functionality of the packaging. The bottle is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher or for boiling; for cleaning, prefer hand washing in moderately warm water with gentle detergents.
The bottle made of PET material can be used repeatedly with a suitable type of product, provided that hygiene rules are strictly followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. After washing and disinfection, allow the bottle and closure to dry completely at room temperature. At the same time, it is necessary to avoid high temperatures – PET material is not suitable for boiling or for cleaning in a dishwasher, where it may become deformed.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we primarily recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. PET bottles are usually sorted into a container intended for plastics; before disposal, it is advisable to empty the packaging and, if necessary, rinse out any product residues. Closures and any dispensers may be made of another type of plastic or a combination of materials, so we recommend separating them and sorting them according to local waste collection rules. Recycling symbols and material markings will help you determine the correct container. Always follow local recommendations for waste sorting so that the recycling process is as effective as possible.
The bottle made of PET material is intended primarily for filling with cold or room-temperature solutions. Exposure to high temperatures can lead to deformation of the packaging, deterioration of the closure seal and changes in the mechanical properties of the plastic. It is not recommended to pour hot or freshly boiled blends into it, to use it in a microwave oven, to wash it in a dishwasher or to sterilise it by boiling. When increased hygiene is required, it is more appropriate to combine gentle hand washing with disinfection using an alcohol-based preparation, in line with the recommendations for repeated use.
The compatibility of the bottle with a closure or dispenser is determined primarily by the type of neck and corresponding thread. Directly on the product page you will find recommended combinations of closures and dosing components that have already been tested as functional on Handymade. When selecting other components, it is advisable to follow the parameters in the product table and then perform your own test – check the tightness of the seal, correct dosing function and the behaviour of your specific formulation in contact with the plastic and sealing elements. For formulations with a higher content of alcohol, essential oils or acidic or alkaline components, an individual test is particularly important.
