For all combinations, however, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – check the sealing, reliability of dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (pH, alcohol content, essential oil content, etc.).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures – in the case of excessive thermal load, the walls or bottom may soften and change shape.
As a result of thermal effects, there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, which may negatively affect standing stability as well as the functionality of the sprayer.
The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling; gentle hand cleaning at lower temperatures in combination with an appropriate disinfectant is recommended.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, its recycling in accordance with local waste-sorting rules is recommended, according to the material marking given in the product parameters and on the packaging itself.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle with sprayer also suitable for products containing alcohol or essential oils?

The PET plastic bottle with mechanical sprayer is suitable for a large proportion of water-based and alcoholic solutions, as well as for formulations with a lower proportion of essential oils. However, with higher concentrations of alcohol or essential oils we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – fill a smaller volume, monitor the behaviour of the plastic, the seals and the functionality of the sprayer over time and, based on the result, adjust the composition or type of packaging.

Can I use this bottle repeatedly for different formulations?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed, but we always recommend maintaining strict cleanliness. Before each new filling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with an appropriate product, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in a quality intended for cosmetic use. For disinfection you can use IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After rinsing and completely drying the packaging, the bottle can be refilled. It also applies that PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, therefore boiling or washing in a dishwasher is not recommended.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the plastic bottle before further use?

Before further use, we recommend first rinsing the packaging with a suitable detergent solution in lukewarm water and thoroughly rinsing with clean water. Afterwards, it is advisable to carry out disinfection using alcohol – for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Spread the alcohol evenly over the inner walls and the neck thread, leave it to work for a short time and allow the excess to evaporate. Do not expose PET material to high temperatures – do not boil the packaging and do not wash it in a dishwasher in order to avoid deformation or weakening of the plastic.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this plastic packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to use the packaging further, its recycling in accordance with local waste-sorting rules is recommended. In the product parameter sheet and on the packaging itself you will find the material designation, according to which it is possible to determine into which sorted container the packaging belongs (e.g. plastic container for PET materials). Before placing it in sorted waste, we recommend emptying the bottle, removing as much as possible of any product residues and separating the individual components (bottle, sprayer, any protective cap), if possible. This makes further processing and the recycling process easier.
