Transparent plastic bottle with flip-top cap represents a universal packaging suitable for various liquid and semi-liquid formulations, such as cosmetic products, hygiene solutions or auxiliary solutions for the household and workshop. Thanks to the transparent material, you always have an immediate visual check of the contents, which facilitates dosing, checking the remaining amount and presenting the product in the final packaging.
The design of the bottle, in combination with the practical flip-top cap, allows comfortable, fast and at the same time controlled dispensing without the need for complete unscrewing. It is suitable for packaging a variety of liquid formulations that require easy one-handed opening, reduced risk of accidental spillage and clean application during everyday use.
For PET-type plastic, it is important to take into account that the material is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. In contact with excessive heat, the packaging may deform, therefore we do not recommend washing the bottle in a dishwasher or boiling it. For cleaning, it is appropriate to use gentle procedures at room temperature.
The standalone plastic bottle is compatible with several types of closures and dispensing systems according to the parameters selected when ordering. It can be combined with screw caps, flip-top caps, dropper inserts, spray heads or practical applicators, provided they match the respective neck type.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verifying tightness, suitability of dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, oil or alcohol content, surface tension, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Information on the material, possible uses and the recommended recycling method can be found directly in the parameter table next to the product. When deciding on the suitability of the packaging for a specific type of filling, it is always appropriate to compare the chemical composition of your formulation with the recommendations of the material manufacturer and to carry out a trial filling.
The packaging can be used repeatedly with a suitable type of filling and if the material is undamaged, always under strict adherence to hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected – we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for technical and cosmetic disinfection, available in the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Carry out disinfection at room temperature, then allow the packaging to dry thoroughly before refilling.
For cleaning, we recommend using lukewarm water with a mild detergent and a soft brush or sponge to avoid scratching the surface. If the packaging is made of PET material, do not expose it to high temperatures – do not boil it, do not use hot water and do not wash it in a dishwasher, as this may lead to deformation of the shape or deterioration of the material properties. After washing, rinse the packaging with clean water, disinfect it with a suitable alcohol solution and leave it to air dry upside down.
Plastic bottles made of materials such as PET are not intended for filling with hot or freshly cooked contents. High temperature can lead to softening or deformation of the walls of the packaging and may also negatively affect the functionality of the closure. Therefore, when filling, always let the contents cool down to room temperature and only then dose them into the packaging. This also reduces the risk of steam condensation and the formation of excess moisture inside the bottle.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted collection according to the material designation given in the product parameters. Before handing it over for recycling, remove any remaining contents, possible labels, separate the cap and any inserts or pumps and dispose of the individual parts in the appropriate containers according to local waste sorting rules (for example, the plastic packaging into plastics, any other materials according to their designation). Always follow the recycling recommendations indicated by the pictogram and the information given for the specific product on the Handymade website.
When selecting suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category (for example, bottles, jars or pharmaceutical bottles). In the advanced filter, you can narrow down the offer according to several parameters – type and size of neck, overall size/volume, colour of the packaging and material used. In this way, you will quickly display only those packages that meet your technical and design requirements, and then you only need to check the details in the product parameters and choose a suitable combination with a closure or dispenser.
The flip-top cap is particularly suitable for liquid and slightly viscous products where fast but controlled dispensing is required – for example body and facial waters, cleansing solutions, toners, liquid soaps, hand care products or light oil blends. It allows one-handed opening and closing, which is practical for bathroom products as well as for professional use in salons. For very thick creams or gels, it may be more appropriate to choose a pump or another type of dispensing.
