From the point of view of chemical stability, glass is a very suitable material for natural oils, fatty acids and blends containing essential oils. For this type of bottle it is important to verify that the viscosity and composition of your formulation are compatible with the roll-on system, so that the movement of the ball is smooth and the dosing is even. Before starting sales, we recommend carrying out your own testing under normal storage and usage conditions.

The bottle can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are observed, especially within your own production or when refilling the same type of product. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, the condition of the roll-on ball checked, and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol 99 % or with 96 % denatured plant ethanol. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and ensure that the product maintains its stability throughout its period of use.

When filling, we recommend working in a clean environment, using a funnel or dosing pump and not filling the bottle right up to the top, so that the roll-on system has sufficient space. After inserting the roll-on insert and ball, press it in firmly according to the recommended procedure and then screw on the closure. Before normal use, it is advisable to test the bottle several times, check the uniformity of dosing, the sealing and any leakage during transport or when being carried in a handbag.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle usually belongs in the container intended for glass, while the plastic or metal parts of the closure and the roll-on system should be separated and placed in the appropriate sorted waste according to their material. Before recycling, it is good to remove any product residues by rinsing, in order to facilitate further processing of the material.
