The plastic bottle with disc-top closure is a practical packaging designed for professional as well as home filling of cosmetics and liquid preparations. The transparent design allows visual control of the contents, which you will appreciate for products where colour, texture or fill level is important. In combination with the disc-top cap it offers convenient, controlled dispensing without the need to screw the bottle open and closed with each use.
Thanks to the durable plastic material, the bottle is suitable for various types of liquid or lightly viscous preparations, such as cleansing foams, shampoos, gels or facial toners. The disc-top closure supports hygienic and economical dispensing – a gentle press on the top part is enough and the product is ready for application, which reduces the risk of spillage as well as unwanted contact of the contents with air.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

The plastic material of the PET type requires gentle handling: PET packaging should not be exposed to high temperatures, as it may become deformed. For this reason it is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. For cleaning we recommend using lukewarm water and mild detergents in order to preserve the shape and functionality of the bottle.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend its responsible recycling according to local waste-sorting rules and according to the material type specified in the parameters of the specific product. Proper sorting enables the material to be reused and reduces the amount of waste.
The packaging can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the disc-top closure and to disinfect them, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. At the same time, bear in mind that PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, so do not boil the packaging and do not wash it in a dishwasher to avoid deformation.
First rinse the bottle with lukewarm water, optionally with a small amount of mild detergent, and rinse thoroughly so that no residues of the cleaning agent remain. After washing, allow the packaging to dry completely and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Do not expose the bottle to high temperatures – do not use a dishwasher, microwave oven or boiling, in order to avoid damaging or deforming the PET material.
If you decide not to use the packaging anymore, we recommend first emptying it and rinsing it to remove product residues. By then placing it in the appropriate container for sorted waste according to the type of plastic (information on the material can be found in the product parameters), you enable recycling and further use of the raw material. Ideally, separate the packaging from the closure if they are made of different materials, so that the sorting line can correctly process each part. In case of doubt, always follow the local waste-sorting rules in your municipality or city.
The disc-top closure is ideal for liquid and slightly viscous preparations where quick and easy dosing is important. It is most often used for shampoos, liquid soaps, shower gels, body milks, facial waters, cleansing solutions and similar formulations. Thanks to the “press – pour” mechanism, the product is dispensed precisely and hygienically, without the need to completely unscrew the closure and with a lower risk of leakage during handling.

This procedure helps to find the optimal packaging for a specific formulation as well as for the visual design of your brand.
We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry, clean place, protected from direct sunlight and sources of heat. High temperatures can, in the case of PET material, lead to gradual deformation or reduction of the mechanical resistance of the packaging. It is also advisable not to overfill the bottles and not to leave them for a long time in an environment with extreme temperature fluctuations, for example in a car in direct sunshine. Proper storage supports the long-term functionality of the disc-top closure as well as the stability of the product itself.
