FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this bottle with trigger sprayer be used repeatedly?

The bottle can be used repeatedly if proper hygiene practices are followed. Before each refilling, the container and the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely before refilling the bottle. During repeated use, monitor the condition of the sprayer and, in the event of wear or reduced functionality, consider replacing it.

How should I properly clean this PET bottle and what should I watch out for with high temperatures?

We recommend cleaning the bottle with lukewarm water, a mild detergent and a soft brush or cleaning brush to avoid scratching the surface. PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, so do not wash the packaging in a dishwasher and do not boil it – there is a risk of deformation of the packaging and reduced functionality of the sprayer. After mechanical cleaning, it is advisable to disinfect the interior and the spraying mechanism with an alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based, and then allow it to dry thoroughly.

For which types of products is this sprayer most suitable and what should I avoid filling into it?

The trigger sprayer is ideal for low-viscosity liquids such as face and body mists, hydrolats, hair sprays, mild cleaning solutions and interior and fabric sprays. We do not recommend filling the bottle with thick emulsions, gels, products with a high content of undissolved solid particles or coarse pigments, as these could clog the nozzle. For formulations with a higher proportion of aggressive solvents or a high concentration of essential oils, it is advisable to first carry out a short-term material compatibility test to verify the long-term stability of the plastic and the sprayer mechanism.

How can I properly recycle this bottle if I no longer want to reuse it?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material information given in the product parameters. The PET plastic container is usually disposed of in the plastics recycling bin, and it is advisable to empty it beforehand and, if possible, rinse out any remaining contents. The sprayer mechanism may contain a combination of several materials; if they cannot be easily separated, follow the recommendation in the recycling parameter for the product. By following these procedures, you will support efficient waste sorting and the reduction of environmental impact.
