Glass bottle – medicine bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing and safe storage of various liquid and powder formulations. Thanks to the stable glass material, this packaging is suitable for cosmetic products, laboratory solutions, concentrated blends and homemade recipes where chemical resistance and long-term stability of the contents are important. Yes, you can use the glass bottle repeatedly if you follow hygienic principles. Before each new filling it is important to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. In this way you minimise the risk of microbial contamination and ensure that the packaging is suitable for reuse even with more sensitive formulations.
Before filling, we recommend first washing the bottle mechanically with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and letting it dry completely. Then disinfect the packaging using alcohol – for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured. After the alcohol has evaporated, the bottle is ready for filling; we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible and minimising handling of the inner surface of the packaging.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter you can combine several parameters at once – especially the neck type, size, colour and material of the packaging. In this way you can quickly find bottles, jars or pots that meet both the technical requirements of your product and the visual concept of your brand.
When selecting a closure, pay attention to the neck type and the recommended combinations given with the product to ensure reliable compatibility. Then take into account the viscosity and character of the formulation – for liquid products droppers or sprayers are suitable, while for thicker blends classic screw caps or applicators are preferable. Even though the packaging and closure combinations created on Handymade are tested, we recommend performing your own test of sealing, dosing and packaging behaviour during longer-term storage of the specific product.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend removing any product residue, optionally rinsing it and placing it in the collection container for glass according to local waste-sorting rules. Recycling recommendations for the specific packaging are based on the material given in the product parameters – glass packaging generally belongs in the glass container, while plastic closures should be sorted separately according to their material. In this way you enable efficient recycling and reduce the amount of waste.
