Glass bottle – medicine bottle with 28 mm neck and black cap is a practical packaging solution suitable for professional as well as artisan filling of various liquid and partially viscous formulations. High-quality glass provides a stable environment for cosmetic preparations, botanical extracts or technical solutions and helps maintain the consistency, fragrance and appearance of the final product. In combination with a sealing closure, the bottle is also suitable for products where precise handling and protection from external influences during storage and use are important.
The standalone glass medicine bottle with 28 mm neck is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected in the offer. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing a personal compatibility test – check sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation during storage and use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle is suitable for most common cosmetic formulations, including serums, toners and aromatic blends, provided they are compatible with glass and the selected type of closure. For highly concentrated or unconventional active ingredients, we always recommend preparing a small trial batch and monitoring the behaviour of the contents in the packaging (colour, odour, any changes in consistency) over several days to weeks to verify the long-term stability of the formulation in this type of packaging.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are followed, but we recommend keeping it for the same or a similar type of product (for example always for oil-based or always for water-based formulations). Before each refilling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-derived ethanol Ethanol 96 %. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and aired out is the packaging ready to be filled again. This procedure minimizes the risk of microbial contamination and of influencing the fragrance or colour of the new product by residues of the previous fill.
Before first use and also for repeated filling, we recommend first mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinse with water, use a suitable mild detergent if needed) and then disinfecting it with alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol or plant-derived ethanol in the concentration stated on the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based is suitable for disinfection. After rinsing or spraying with alcohol, allow the packaging to dry naturally and ventilate well so that no alcohol or moisture residues remain, and only then proceed to fill it with the final product.
We recommend storing filled glass medicine bottles in a dry environment, at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight or significant temperature fluctuations. It is important that the closure is always properly tightened, minimizing the ingress of air and moisture. For sensitive formulations, such as products with a higher content of natural oils or active ingredients, it is beneficial to store the bottles in a cupboard or packaging that limits long-term exposure to light and heat. This supports longer shelf life and preservation of the original properties of the product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and the data given in the parameter table for this product. The glass part of the bottle should, after being emptied and rinsed, be placed in the appropriate glass container. The cap, which may be made of a different material than the container itself, should be sorted according to the material designation in the product parameters (for example as plastic or metal). If you are not sure, follow the recommendations of your local waste collection system so that recycling is as effective as possible.
On the Handymade website you can use the advanced filter, which helps you quickly select a suitable packaging for a specific product. The advanced filter is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. It allows you to clearly filter by neck type, size, colour and packaging material and easily narrow down the offer to bottles, medicine bottles, jars or pots that best meet your technical and aesthetic requirements.
