Glass bottle / vial with dispenser represents a professional packaging for liquid products that require precise and controlled dosing. The smooth rim allows for convenient labelling or branding and, in combination with the dispenser, this packaging is suitable for cosmetic, pharmaceutical and technical formulations. High-quality glass is a stable material that helps protect the contents from external influences and supports a longer shelf life of the product.
This bottle / vial is supplied in combination with a dispenser, and the packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing, stability and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, pH, alcohol content or oil phase content).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
For selecting suitable packaging we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the chosen category (for example bottles, vials, jars or sprayers). In the filter you can combine several parameters – in particular the type of neck, the size, the colour and the material of the packaging. This allows you to easily select packaging that will technically and visually correspond to your product.
The packaging can be reused provided that you follow basic hygiene principles and always adapt it to the type of product being filled. Before each new filling, the bottle and all corresponding parts (dispenser, dip tube) must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol ethanol 96 % denatured. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and mutual interaction of residues of the original product with the new formulation.
Before the first filling we recommend visually inspecting the packaging, removing all dust or mechanical impurities and, if necessary, rinsing it with a suitable medium (e.g. demineralised water or alcohol, if it is compatible with your formulation). Then disinfect the bottle and the related components – it is appropriate to use IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % denatured. Only after complete evaporation of the disinfectant and drying of the packaging is the bottle ready for filling.
The functionality of the dispenser always depends on the viscosity of the specific formulation. For thin solutions and lighter oils, dosing is usually smooth; for more viscous emulsions or gels it is necessary to carry out your own test – to check suction, the passability of the dip tube and the consistency of the dose. We recommend preparing a trial batch, filling several bottles and checking the behaviour of the product during normal use (repeated pumping, longer standing, possible sedimentation). If necessary, you can choose another type of applicator from our range.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in a container designated for glass, and plastic or combined components (e.g. dispenser, dip tube) should be separated and sorted according to the material type specified in the product parameters. Before placing it into sorted waste, remove product residues in order to facilitate the recycling process and reduce the risk of contamination of other material.
For sensitive formulations we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible, minimising contact of the contents with air and ensuring correct closing of the dispenser after filling. Follow the storage recommendations for your product (temperature, light, humidity) and adapt the placement of the filled bottles accordingly. Before placing the finished product on the market, it is appropriate to carry out stability and microbiological tests in the chosen packaging to verify that the material of the bottle and dispenser is fully compatible with the specific formula throughout the entire declared shelf life.
