The glass bottle with dropper represents a professional solution for packaging serums, oils, concentrates and other liquid formulations where precise and controlled dosing is important. Thanks to the dropper closure, the packaging is suitable for products that are applied in drops or in a small amount and require hygienic handling.
The dark opaque glass provides natural protection of sensitive components from light, thereby helping to reduce the risk of degradation of active substances and contributing to the stability of the formulation during storage. The combination of a glass bottle and a dropper is ideal for liquid and slightly viscous products for which precise application without unnecessary waste of the contents is required.
This bottle is supplied directly with a functional dropper that ensures convenient and precise dosing of the liquid contents. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Glass is generally considered to be a stable and inert packaging material that is also suitable for formulations with a higher proportion of active or aromatic components. However, for every new product we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the behaviour of the formulation in contact with the packaging, long-term stability, sealing of the dropper and the way of dosing during real use.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the dropper and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature so that no residual moisture or residues of the cleaning agent get into the final product.
We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry and clean place, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations. Dark glass already by itself helps protect the contents from light, but ideally products should be kept in a closed cabinet or drawer. For sensitive formulations it is appropriate in the long term also to follow the recommended temperature range specified by the manufacturer of the specific product.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend as a first step to mechanically empty it as thoroughly as possible and clean it of product residues. Then place the glass part of the bottle into the appropriate separated waste stream according to the recycling rules listed in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. The remaining components of the dropper (plastic and rubber parts) must be separated and sorted according to their material composition, or handed over within the local collection system for packaging materials. By sorting correctly you support the reuse of raw materials and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
The easiest way is to use the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the selected category (for example bottles, jars or pots) you will find the advanced filter at the top of the page. Using the filters you can adjust your selection according to key parameters – specifically according to the type of neck, size, colour and material of the packaging. This allows you to quickly find the combination that best matches your formulation and the intended method of dosing.
