The glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed; however, we recommend using it long term for the same type of formulation (for example always an oil serum). Before each refilling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination as well as transfer of scents and residues of the previous contents.

The dropper is designed for precise dosing of low- to medium-viscosity liquids. With significantly thick oils or gel formulations, dripping may be slower and it is recommended to carry out a trial with your specific recipe. If necessary, within the Handymade range it is possible to choose another type of closure or dispenser that will be more suitable for the given consistency.

First remove residues of the original product by mechanically rinsing with a suitable medium (for example warm water with a mild cleansing agent compatible with the original formulation). After thorough rinsing, allow the glass to dry and then disinfect it with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. For the dropper, it is necessary to rinse the pipette as well as the inside of the closure and allow the components to dry completely before refilling the product.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle and dropper, it is recommended to recycle them according to local waste-sorting rules and according to the material information stated in the product parameters. The glass container can usually be placed, after emptying and basic rinsing, into a container designated for glass. The dropper and closure, which combine several materials (for example plastic, rubber, possibly metal parts), should be sorted according to the predominant material following recommendations in your region. Always remove product residues before recycling to facilitate further waste processing.
