Yes, the bottle is suitable for repeated use when handled correctly. However, with each refilling it is necessary to follow basic hygiene principles – the packaging, including the spray pump, must first be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. For disinfecting the inner surface of the packaging, we recommend using the products IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % available in our range (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/, /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/). Only after the packaging is completely dry and aired is it suitable to proceed with refilling.

We recommend that, after emptying the bottle, you pump the spray head several times with clean water, or with a diluted mild cleaning solution, to remove residues of the original product. Then it is advisable to rinse it with a small amount of alcohol and press several times again so that the alcohol reaches the entire mechanism. After rinsing, let all parts dry thoroughly at room temperature. A spray pump maintained in this way usually retains even atomisation and functional dosing during further use.

The bottle is particularly practical for liquid, low-viscosity products that need to be applied in the form of a fine mist or spray. It is suitable, for example, for toners, hydrolats, refreshing and aromatherapeutic sprays, hand sanitising sprays, hair tonics or light oil-in-water emulsions. With thicker emulsions or gel textures, spraying may be limited, so we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and verifying whether the dosing mechanism is suitable for the specific type of formula.

If you decide not to use the bottle with spray pump any longer, we recommend primarily recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters. The glass container can usually be placed in the glass collection container after it has been emptied and roughly cleaned of product residues. The spray pump itself consists of several parts that may be made of different materials; if local regulations allow separate sorting of these components, follow the instructions of the municipality or collection company. Before handing over for separated collection, it is advisable to remove all product residues from the packaging to facilitate recycling.
