Glass bottle – medicine bottle is a practical packaging solution that is ideal for precise dosing of liquid preparations, active substances and concentrated blends. Thanks to the stable glass, it provides reliable protection of the contents and is suitable for laboratory, cosmetic and craft use. The smooth surface of the bottle makes labeling easier and helps create a professional-looking final product.
This type of medicine bottle is popular for smaller production runs as well as for home manufacturing, where dosing accuracy, cleanliness of the packaging and reliable sealing are important. The glass container combines well with various types of closures and dispensers, allowing you to easily adapt the method of application to the specific product.
Glass bottles – medicine bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, atomizers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (seal integrity, dosing and the behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

The glass medicine bottle is often used for packaging concentrated active substances, perfume compositions and aromatic blends because glass provides good material stability. For every new formulation, however, we recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking the behavior of the product over time, the sealing of the closure and any possible effect on the fragrance or color of the contents.
The glass medicine bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-derived ethanol. Disinfection helps to minimize microbiological risks and ensure the stability of the new product.
Before reuse, we recommend first cleaning the bottle mechanically – rinsing it with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent and rinsing thoroughly so that no foam residues remain. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface, for example using a product based on isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, making sure that the alcohol has completely evaporated before the new filling. The closure, dropper or other applicator must be cleaned and disinfected separately according to its material.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material specified in the product parameters. In most cases, the glass part of the bottle can, after being emptied and roughly cleaned, be sorted into a container designated for glass. The closure or dispenser, which is usually made of plastic or a combination of materials, is sorted according to the recommendations for the given material in the parameter table. Before disposal, it is advisable to separate the individual parts (glass separately, plastic separately) to make recycling easier and to minimize the impact on the environment.
