The glass vial is a versatile packaging material designed for the safe and hygienic packaging of liquid products where stability of contents, clean handling and reliable closure according to the chosen closure are important. Glass is material neutral and therefore suitable for different types of formulations without undesirable effects on the odour or properties of the product. As it is a dark glass, the packaging naturally helps to reduce the transmission of light and UV rays, which is advantageous for more sensitive ingredients (e.g. extracts or oils). The packaging is also food grade, making it suitable for selected products intended for internal use, as long as hygiene principles and good filling practices are followed.
The bottle is compatible with different types of closures and dispensers (e.g. screw caps, droppers, dispensers or handy applicators) according to the selected parameters. The packaging and closure combinations, which are created directly at Handymade, are tested and functional. However, for all combinations, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dispensing and packaging behaviour in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, dark glass naturally reduces light transmission and UV rays, which is beneficial for formulations with more sensitive ingredients. For maximum stability, we recommend storing out of direct sunlight.
Yes, the packaging is food grade as stated in the Packaging Quality Approval, therefore it is also suitable for tinctures, liquid nutritional supplements and extracts intended for internal use. We recommend that you observe hygiene when filling and carry out your own compatibility test with the specific contents.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Prior to filling, the packaging should be cleaned and disinfected (ALK001 / ALK002), for example with IPA 99% (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol 96% (denatured, vegetable), and then allowed to dry completely.
We recommend choosing a cap suitable for the intended use, wiping the neck clean after filling, and always checking for proper tightening. For new or more challenging formulations, it is important to do a self-test of the seal and the behaviour of the container during storage and transport.
If you choose not to reuse the packaging, we recommend that you recycle it. Empty and rinse the glass vial, then sort it into a glass container. If the packaging is used together with a cap or dispenser, separate the parts and sort by material into the appropriate collection containers according to local sorting rules.
