The glass vial with black cap is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of liquid preparations and sensitive blends. The dark glass helps protect the contents from light, making it ideal for products that require stability during storage and use. The standalone glass vial is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the parameters selected for products on Handymade.sk. You can combine it, for example, with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators for precise application.
The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, the dosing method and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, volatile substances, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The vial can be safely reused if hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection we recommend the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After it has completely dried, the vial is ready for reuse.
First remove any residues of the original product, then rinse the inside of the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent, and rinse thoroughly with clean water. After mechanical cleaning, it is advisable to rinse the packaging with disinfectant alcohol (for example IPA or ethanol), allow it to drain and dry completely at room temperature. Follow hygiene rules during handling to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the new product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend sorting it into separated waste according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle can usually be disposed of in the glass container after removing residual contents. The plastic or composite cap is sorted separately according to the type of plastic. Before disposal, rinse the packaging at least roughly so that no significant product residues remain. Always follow the local waste-sorting rules in your municipality or city.
Glass bottles are generally very suitable for formulations containing alcohol and essential oils, because glass is a stable and inert material. However, we recommend always testing the specific combination of your product with the closure or dropper used to verify long-term sealing, dosing and the behaviour of plastic or rubber components in contact with the formulation. A short trial test will help you avoid problems in final production.

When filling, make sure that the packaging is clean, dry and disinfected, and that the product does not exceed the maximum recommended volume stated in the product parameters. Do not overfill the bottle up to the very top, to prevent spilling during closure. After filling, always check that the cap is properly tightened and that no contents are leaking around the neck. During storage, protect the packaging from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight in order to preserve the stability of the active substances and the properties of your product.
