Amber Glass Bottle, Glossy Black Dropper, 10 ml

An amber glass medicine bottle with a 10 ml volume and a glossy black dropper makes a ready-to-use package for small quantities of face serums, face oils, essential oil blends or tinctures. Amber glass reduces the amount of light reaching the contents, so it is particularly suitable for light-sensitive products, such as oils prone to oxidation or serums with active ingredients. The dropper allows dispensing drop by drop, which is more precise for concentrated products than pouring from the neck. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

How the set works

The bottle has an 18/410 neck finish, and a dropper with the same thread screws directly onto it. The glossy black head with a silicone bulb draws the contents up into the glass tube of the dropper. Once tightened, the closure seals against the neck of the bottle.

The combination of amber glass and a black dropper looks uniform on the shelf, and the contents stay protected from light even with regular use in the bathroom. The 10 ml volume suits products that are used up drop by drop and should not stand open for months.

What it is suitable for

• Face serums – both water-based and oil-based serums, which are applied in amounts of a few drops.
• Face and hair oils – vegetable oils and their blends, where amber glass slows the effect of light.
• Essential oil blends – diluted blends for aromatherapy or for cosmetics.
• Tinctures and alcohol extracts – both the glass and the glass tube of the dropper withstand alcohol solutions, and drop-by-drop dispensing is precise.
• Samples and test batches – the small volume makes it possible to give customers a sample of a product or to set aside a sample from a batch for stability testing.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume of 10 ml states how much content the bottle is normally filled with. The total brimful volume is larger. The difference between the two values leaves room for the glass tube of the dropper, which takes up part of the space once screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled up to the nominal volume. If it were filled to the brim, the dropper would push the contents out through the neck when screwed in.

Good to know

Before the first filling, we recommend washing the bottle and the dropper, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and letting them dry completely. Residual water could compromise the preservation of an anhydrous product, and in oils it causes cloudiness.

The glass withstands cleaning with warm water, but sudden temperature changes can crack the bottle. Let hot contents cool down before filling. Check how undiluted essential oils or solvents behave with the silicone bulb of the dropper on a single piece before you fill the whole batch.

Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food. The dropper does not have this certificate, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic use, not for food use.

The bottle and the dropper can be reused after thorough cleaning and disinfection. If the bulb has hardened or the dropper has stopped sealing, replace it with a new one with the same thread. Glass belongs in glass recycling; before recycling, unscrew the dropper and dispose of it separately.
