Glass bottle with glossy black surface and tamper-evident cap represents a professional packaging solution intended mainly for cosmetic and laboratory formulations that require reliable protection of the contents and controlled dispensing. The dark, opaque glass helps reduce light penetration to the filled product, thereby supporting the stability of sensitive components and extending their usability. This type of bottle is popular for filling liquid and partially viscous products where hygienic handling, secure closure and a representative appearance of the finished product are important. Thanks to the tamper ring on the cap, the packaging is also suitable wherever clear visual confirmation of first opening and increased protection against accidental twisting of the cap are required.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the specific product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure the packaging will function reliably with your particular recipe as well.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
To choose suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter, it is possible to combine several criteria at once – specific neck type, size, colour and also the packaging material. In this way, you quickly narrow the offer down to packaging that meets both the technical requirements of your product and the visual style of your brand.
Yes, the glass packaging can be safely reused if hygiene principles are observed. However, before each new filling, it is necessary to clean and disinfect the bottle thoroughly – we recommend treating the surface and interior of the packaging with a suitable alcohol solution, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol. Only after it is completely dry is the packaging ready for further use with a new batch of product.
Before first filling, we recommend mechanically rinsing the bottle, removing any dust particles and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol. After applying the disinfectant solution, allow the packaging to air dry at room temperature so that the alcohol residues can evaporate. For products with very sensitive active ingredients, it is advisable to introduce your own sanitisation protocol and test the entire procedure on a small trial batch of product.
Dark, opaque glass bottles are the standard choice for products that are sensitive to light and oxidation. The glossy black surface helps limit light penetration to the contents, which is an advantage for formulations with a higher proportion of plant oils, extracts or active ingredients prone to degradation. Nevertheless, we recommend always storing the finished product in a dry, cooler and shaded place according to the requirements of the specific formula.
After filling the bottle, it is important to tighten the cap evenly, but without over-forcing the thread. We recommend performing your own leak test – after closing, invert the bottle for a short time and observe whether any signs of leakage appear at the neck or around the cap. For highly fluid or very thin formulations, it may be appropriate to combine the bottle with an inner insert or dropper to improve dosing control and protection against unwanted leakage.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition listed in the parameter table for the product. The glass body of the bottle, after removing product residues and separating the cap, is usually placed in the container designated for glass. The cap and any plastic or metal parts should be sorted separately according to local separated waste collection rules. By sorting correctly, you contribute to the reuse of raw materials and to reducing the amount of waste.
