FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this glass bottle repeatedly?

Yes, the glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and evaporated is the bottle ready for the next filling.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and prepared before first use?

Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution, rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. It is then advisable to disinfect the internal space with an alcohol-based preparation, for example products available in the Handymade range. After applying the disinfectant alcohol, allow the packaging to dry completely and make sure that no residues of the cleaning agent or moisture remain that could affect the stability of the packaged product.

Is the dispenser also suitable for thicker emulsions or oil-based products?

The dispenser is designed to handle common liquid and slightly viscous cosmetic formulations. For thicker emulsions or oil blends, we recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing the smoothness of dosing, the return of the piston and the tightness of the entire system. If, during testing, you observe impaired dosing, it may be appropriate to adjust the viscosity of the product or to choose another type of packaging and dispensing component from the Handymade range.

How should I correctly recycle the bottle and dispenser if I do not wish to continue using them?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. The glass part should be placed in the glass container after removing any product residues. The dispenser, which is usually made of plastic and metal components, must be separated from the glass and sorted according to local waste collection rules. Before handing it over for separate collection, it is recommended to rinse the packaging to remove visible product residues in order to facilitate its further processing in the recycling process.
