The dark, opaque glass helps protect the contents from light, thereby contributing to longer stability of active ingredients in both cosmetic and home-made formulations. The bottle is ideal for liquid and partially viscous products that require precise dosing and secure closure.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators), depending on the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – verifying sealing, dosing and behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for products with a higher content of alcohols, oils or acids.

Yes, the glass bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is important to thoroughly clean the packaging and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96% denatured. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the properties of your products.
Before first use, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle and the cap from dust and manufacturing residues, then thoroughly drying and disinfecting them. It is suitable to use disinfection with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in spray form, while it is necessary to observe the contact time according to the nature of the raw materials used. After complete evaporation of the alcohol, the packaging is ready for filling with the final product.
When selecting suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the selected packaging material category. In the advanced filter you can clearly sort the packaging according to neck type, size, color and material, which allows you to quickly find the bottle, jar or pot that best matches your product and the desired dosing method.
Glass is generally a very stable material that is also suitable for products with a higher content of alcohols, oils or active substances. When using it, however, it is also necessary to take into account the type of closure and sealing – we recommend carrying out a trial filling in a smaller volume and monitoring tightness, dosing and possible changes on the closure or sealing over time. In this way you will verify the compatibility of the specific formulation with the selected combination of packaging and closure.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues. The glass container itself can then be handed over to sorted collection in accordance with the recycling rules stated for the product in the parameters table, and the cap and any other components should be sorted according to their material. By following the recommended sorting, you ensure more considerate handling of the packaging and its materials.
