Combining with caps and dispensers

In this product, the glass bottle is supplied directly with a cream dispenser, thus creating a functional combination of packaging and closure. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that your specific product will work optimally in the given bottle even during long-term use.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass bottle also suitable for products with a higher content of active substances?

Yes, the glass packaging is stable and commonly used also for formulations with a higher proportion of active substances. Thanks to the dark design, it helps protect sensitive components from light. Nevertheless, we always recommend testing the specific formula in the selected packaging in order to verify long-term stability, consistency and the behaviour of the product during dosing.

Can the bottle with cream dispenser be used repeatedly?

The bottle can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol of plant origin. Make sure that all parts – the glass bottle, the dispenser and the dip tube – are completely dry before the next filling, thus minimizing the risk of microbial contamination and an impact on product quality.

How should I properly clean this bottle before refilling it?

Before refilling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and detergent, then rinsing it well with clean water and finally disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant. It is advisable to rinse the dispenser and “pump” it several times with clear water and then with alcohol, so that the cavities of the mechanism are cleaned as thoroughly as possible. After disinfection, let all parts dry well at room temperature.

How should I correctly dispose of or recycle this packaging if I no longer wish to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is normally placed in the container intended for glass, and the plastic parts of the dispenser in the appropriate container for plastics (if the local waste sorting system allows it). Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to empty the packaging as much as possible and remove any product residues in order to facilitate further processing of the material.
