The blue glass bottle represents a professional packaging solution suitable for various cosmetic and technical formulations where protection of sensitive components from light and external influences is important. The dark glass helps reduce light penetration to the contents, thereby supporting their stability during storage and use. Thanks to the durable glass, this bottle is ideal for packaging liquid products that require precise dosing and long-term reliability of the packaging.
The glass bottles in this category are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected directly on the product page. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass packaging can be safely reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly washed, dried and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the scent or texture of the product.
First remove residues of the original product using warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, then rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry completely. Afterwards, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface with an alcohol solution (e.g. isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol) and letting it evaporate. Before filling, make sure that no residues of cleaning or disinfecting agents remain in the packaging.
To select a suitable packaging, we recommend using the extended filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example glass bottles or cosmetic packaging). In the extended filter you can easily combine several criteria – specific neck type, required size, colour and packaging material. Thanks to this, you will quickly find bottles, dropper bottles or jars that will meet the technical and visual requirements of your product.
Blue glass is often used for products where partial protection from light and a professional appearance of the packaging are important. The bottle is suitable for facial and hair oils, serums with active ingredients, aromatherapy blends, tinctures for external use or concentrated raw materials that are dosed drop by drop. Adapt the specific type of closure (dropper, sprayer, classic cap) to the consistency and intended method of application.
Before introducing the packaging into production, we recommend performing a test on a small trial batch. Fill several bottles with the final formulation, combine them with the selected type of closure or dropper and monitor sealing, dosing functionality and any changes in the scent, colour or viscosity of the product during storage. Test under normal conditions as well as under slightly increased stress (transport, temperature changes). If the results are stable, the packaging is suitable for long-term use with the given formula.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues. Then place the glass bottle in the container designated for glass recycling according to local recycling rules. Caps, droppers or sprayers are sorted separately according to their material (the material type and recommendations can be found in the parameters of the specific product). By sorting correctly, you enable the glass to be reused again as a secondary raw material.
