Glass bottle with dropper and safety cap is a professional packaging designed for precise dosing of liquid formulations in cosmetics as well as in laboratory and artisanal applications. Thanks to the reliable combination of a glass medicine bottle and a cap with dropper, it enables hygienic, controlled and repeatable dosing of drops without unnecessary contact with the contents. Dark glass helps protect sensitive components from light, thereby supporting the stability and longer shelf life of formulas that are prone to degradation when exposed to UV radiation.
The glass medicine bottle with dropper is in general also suitable for formulations containing essential oils, because glass is a material with good chemical resistance. However, it is recommended to always test the specific blend in a smaller amount, observe any changes in scent, colour or viscosity and verify that the cap with dropper seals well even with long-term use. With very high concentrations of essential oils, it is advisable to proceed with particular care and follow the recommended dosage according to the type of oil.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle, the dropper and all parts of the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to prevent contamination or residual mixing of previous formulations. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After thorough rinsing and drying, the bottle can be refilled, ideally with the same or a similar type of product.
Before repeated use, we recommend first removing as much as possible of the residue of the original product by mechanically rinsing with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent. Then rinse the bottle and dropper with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After washing, disinfect the packaging with an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based, and let all parts dry thoroughly at room temperature. Only after complete drying is the bottle ready for new filling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to recycle it according to the recommendations resulting from the material specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can, after emptying and basic rinsing, be placed in the appropriate separate collection container for glass according to local sorting rules. The cap with dropper consists of several materials, so it is practical to separate it from the bottle and follow the recommendations of the local waste collection system – some components may belong to sorted plastic, others to mixed waste. Before being handed over for recycling, the packaging should be freed from gross product residues.
