Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection we recommend using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which help to minimise microbial contamination before the packaging is reused.

How should I correctly clean the bottle and the dropper before refilling?

First remove residues of the original product by rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent or a neutral detergent and warm water. Rinse the bottle thoroughly so that no detergent residues remain and allow it to dry completely. Then disinfect the packaging, including the dropper, with alcohol – for example using the product IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging is ready for refilling. Always also follow the specific requirements of the particular formulation you plan to fill into the bottle.

We always recommend verifying the suitability of the packaging with your own compatibility test. For very active or atypical ingredients, follow the recommendations of the raw material supplier and, if necessary, consult the technological aspects of the packaging.

How should I correctly recycle the glass bottle and the dropper if I do not want to reuse it?

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it according to the material types given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle should usually be placed in the container intended for glass after removing any remaining contents.
