Before each new filling, both the packaging and the dispensing part must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based product, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96% denatured. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the container.

First, empty the bottle and rinse it with lukewarm water, optionally with the addition of a mild, non-aggressive cleaning agent suitable for cosmetic tools. After rinsing, thoroughly flush the glass container with clean water and then disinfect it using alcohol (for example IPA 99% or Ethanol 96% denatured). We recommend testing the dispensing part for the possibility of rinsing and disinfection according to the type of your formulation; it is always important that no residues of the previous product remain inside. After cleaning, allow all components to dry naturally in a clean, dust-free place.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it into the regular recycling stream according to the material specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. As standard, empty the glass bottle of any remaining contents and place it in the container intended for glass. The dispensing part should preferably be separated and sorted according to the type of material used, if local recycling rules allow this. When sorting, always follow the pictograms and the recommendations in the product parameters so that the recycling process is as effective as possible.
