Product description

Glyceryl oleate is an ester of glycerin and oleic acid (a fatty acid found in natural oils). It comes in paste form.

It is lipophilic (oil loving) so it helps to soften the skin by forming a light oil layer that reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), thus acting as a skin lipid layer booster.
With each wash, the skin loses some of its protective lipids, which can lead to dryness, flaking and even cracking. Glyceryl oleate helps restore these lost lipids . It is also excellent in hair care to protect against dryness.

Its protective properties make it ideal for enriching a wide range of body care products such as shower gels, bath foams and shampoos, as well as facial and baby skin cleansers.
In addition, it perfectly balances the effect of tensides - such as coco-glucoside - and enhances both the softness and quality of the foam in the formulation.

It also acts as a coemulsifier where, as a non-ionic emulsifier, it helps stabilize oil-in-water(O/W) emulsions.

Recommended dosage: 0,5 - 3 %
