Glass bottle – medicine bottle represents a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of small amounts of liquid and partially viscous products. High-quality glass ensures long-term stability of the contents and minimizes interaction between the formulation and the packaging, which is ideal when filling more sensitive formulas. Colored glass also helps protect the contents from external light exposure and supports the preservation of their quality during storage.
Glass bottles – medicine bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so you can be sure that the final product will be reliable in use. When choosing a suitable closure, it is advisable to take into account the consistency and purpose of the product – droppers for precise dosing of serums and oils, sprayers for liquid toners and watery formulations, or a classic screw cap for products that do not require frequent and highly precise application.

The glass medicine bottle is suitable for packaging various cosmetic serums, oils and concentrated ingredients because stable glass helps minimize interaction between the packaging and the contents. However, for formulations with highly reactive or sensitive active substances we always recommend conducting your own compatibility test under real storage and usage conditions to verify the behavior of the product over time.
The glass packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the corresponding closure must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated do we recommend refilling the bottle.
Before first use, it is advisable to mechanically clean the bottle, rinse it thoroughly with potable water and, if necessary, use a mild cleaning agent suitable for contact with packaging materials. We then recommend using an alcohol-based disinfectant (e.g. IPA or ethanol), and it is important to allow the packaging to dry completely. This procedure minimizes the risk of introducing impurities and undesirable microorganisms into the finished product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type indicated in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle must be freed of product residues after emptying and placed in the appropriate glass container in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The closure and any dosing components should preferably be sorted separately according to their material (for example plastic or metal), if your municipality’s collection system allows this. In this way you support more efficient use of raw materials and a reduction in the amount of waste.

It allows convenient separation of a smaller amount of product, easy labeling and monitoring of changes over time. When testing, we always recommend using the same type of packaging that you plan to use for the final product, so that the results are as representative as possible.
