The glass bottle represents a practical and professional packaging solution suitable for careful filling of cosmetic formulations, pharmaceutical preparations and concentrated blends. Thanks to the stable glass material, the contents are well protected and the bottle is suitable for liquid as well as partially viscous products that require hygienic and reliable dispensing. The dark glass also helps to limit light exposure to sensitive components of the formulations, which contributes to the long-term stability and quality of the filled product.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, the dispensing method and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation in order to ensure stability, hygiene and user comfort.

Yes, the glass bottle is suitable for packaging a wide range of natural and homemade cosmetics – from facial serums and oils to toners or concentrated blends. When choosing the packaging, we always recommend checking the material composition and the product parameters so that the packaging is in line with the character of your formulation (content of water, oils, alcohol or active substances).
The glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly, dry it and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and extends the safety of using the final product.
First remove any residue of the original contents by rinsing with warm water and a suitable mild cleaning agent. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water, allow it to dry completely and only then carry out disinfection, ideally using alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging is ready for new filling. This procedure helps to maintain the stability and safety of your cosmetics or extracts.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material information given in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass bottle is usually placed in the container intended for glass, while the closure or dispenser is recycled according to its material (often plastic or composite packaging). Before recycling, it is advisable to separate the individual parts from each other so that they can be processed in the correct waste stream.
