The glass bottle with dropper represents a professional solution for packaging liquid preparations where precise and controlled drop-by-drop dosing is required. Thanks to the durable glass and high-quality dropper closure, it is suitable for various cosmetic formulations, active ingredients and concentrated blends that require hygienic and safe storage. The darker coloration of the glass also helps protect the sensitive contents from the effects of light and thus contributes to the stability of the formulations.
The glass bottle with dropper is commonly used for packaging various types of serums, active concentrates and formulations with a higher content of active substances. Before using it for a specific formulation, we recommend carrying out an internal compatibility test – checking the behaviour of the contents in contact with the glass and the dropper, stability during storage and suitability of the dosing. For professional use, it is always advisable to rely on the results of your own stability tests.
The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using alcohol-based disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging has been thoroughly dried and ventilated is it suitable to proceed with filling a new formulation.
Before re-use, we recommend disassembling the bottle into individual parts (glass, dropper, possibly closure), mechanically removing the residues of the original product and then thoroughly washing it with a suitable cleaning agent. After washing, rinse with clean water and then disinfect – for this step, alcohol solutions are suitable, for example products available on Handymade.sk. After disinfection, all parts must be allowed to dry and ventilate naturally to reduce the risk of contamination of the new product and any impact on its fragrance or stability.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend first emptying it thoroughly and removing any product residues. The glass body of the bottle is usually classified in the sorting system as glass, while the dropper and other components (for example the plastic or rubber part) belong, according to their material, in the appropriate sorting containers. The specific method of recycling is governed by the material composition given in the product parameters on the Handymade.sk website and by the local waste-sorting rules in your municipality. By following these principles, you contribute to a more sustainable handling of packaging materials.
