Yes, the bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new formulation.
The packaging is ideal for liquid products that are applied in a thin layer or as a fine mist – for example facial and body toners, hydrolats, hair toners, aromatherapy and room sprays or light oil sprays. It is always advisable to verify that the specific formulation has appropriate viscosity and does not clog the spray mechanism.
The glass part can be rinsed with a suitable cleaning agent, thoroughly rinsed with water and left to dry. We then recommend rinsing the inside of the bottle and the dip tube with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. It is advisable to “spray through” the spray head several times with alcohol and then allow it to dry completely at room temperature. Strong mechanical cleaning of the nozzle is not recommended in order to avoid damaging it.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass part should be emptied, freed from any remaining contents and placed in a container intended for glass. The sprayer consists of several components, which may be made of different plastics and metals; if they cannot be easily separated by material, it is recommended to follow the guidelines of the local waste sorting system. Before handing it over for collection, ensure that the packaging is as free from product residues as possible.

The service life of the sprayer depends mainly on the type and viscosity of the filled mixture, the frequency of use and proper storage. Thick or highly depositing formulations can shorten the functional life of the nozzle. It is recommended to store the packaging in an upright position, not expose it to extreme temperatures and, in case of longer periods of non-use, occasionally spray clean base or alcohol through the mechanism. When changing the type of product, it is advisable to thoroughly rinse the sprayer to prevent clogging or mixing of scents.
