For very thick oils or gel textures, we recommend performing a dosing test before final filling to verify whether the flow and number of drops correspond to your intention.

You can safely reuse the bottle if you follow hygienic principles. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and ensures the stability of the new batch of product.

When filling, we recommend leaving sufficient headspace in the bottle below the neck so that when screwing on the dropper, the liquid is not forced into the thread. After filling, dry the outside of the bottle, then gently and evenly tighten the dropper without excessive force. Before placing the product on the market or using it, it is advisable to perform a short test – turn the bottle upside down, shake it gently and check whether the neck remains dry and the dosing takes place drop by drop.

When changing the formulation or fragrance, the bottle and dropper must first be mechanically cleaned, for example with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, and thoroughly rinsed. After drying, we recommend disinfecting all parts of the packaging with alcohol, such as IPA 99% or 96% denatured ethanol. Only after complete evaporation of the alcohol and drying is the packaging ready for new filling. For strongly perfumed or highly pigmented products, it is advisable to check whether any residual odour or discolouration remains.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend emptying it, removing as much residual content as possible and dismantling it into individual parts. The glass bottle can, after removal of impurities, be sorted into the glass container according to local waste sorting rules. The dropper consists of several materials (plastic, metal, rubber), so it is usually not sorted with glass; it is recommended to place it in the mixed waste fraction or according to local regulations for sorting composite closures.
