The gentle cold-pressing method preserves a high content of bioactive substances, especially the valuable punicic acid (omega-5), which makes the oil highly prized in natural and dermal cosmetics for mature, dry and stressed skin.

• The oil is suitable for inclusion in the oil phase of emulsions, oil serums, balms and butters.
• It is highly compatible with most vegetable oils, butters, esters and other lipophilic components.
• It is miscible with other oils and fats; it is insoluble in water, therefore a suitable emulsifier is required in emulsions.
• Indicative dosage: approximately 1–10% in facial and body creams and serums; in nourishing balms and butters, higher dosages can also be used according to the desired effect.
• It is recommended to add it during the cooling phase (at a temperature below 40 °C) in order to preserve sensitive bioactive components.
