The plastic bottle with spray pump is a practical and lightweight container designed for convenient dispensing of various liquid blends in the form of a fine mist. Thanks to the combination of a high-quality plastic body and a functional spray pump, it is suitable for packaging preparations that require even application to the skin, hair, surfaces or textiles. The container is designed to support both professional and home use in the production of cosmetics, cleaning solutions or auxiliary household solutions.
The spray mechanism enables practical and economical dosing, which minimizes product waste and increases user comfort. Thanks to the stable plastic material, the bottle is suitable for liquid products with different viscosities, provided they are compatible with the PET container and the standard spray pump. The container is intended for repeated refilling, and with each use it is important to follow basic hygiene principles and recommendations for cleaning and disinfection.
This type of bottle is supplied directly with a functional spray pump, and combinations of containers and caps created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. This means that the selected bottle and spray pump have been verified in terms of thread compatibility, dosing and normal use.
However, for all combinations and when filling with your own formulations, we always recommend performing a personal compatibility test – check the sealing, reliability of spraying, stability of the pump head and the behaviour of the container in contact with the specific product (pH, alcohol content, essential oil content, etc.). Such a test is particularly important for concentrated or more aggressive components that may affect plastic parts or seals.

When working with this type of plastic container made from PET material, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of the material:
Yes, the bottle can be reused if handled correctly, but we recommend reusing it only for a similar type of product (for example, always the same cosmetic body spray or hair spray). Before each new filling it is important to clean the container thoroughly, rinse it and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol solution, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the fragrance or colour of the product. After disinfection, allow the bottle and spray pump to dry completely at room temperature.
We recommend first emptying the bottle, rinsing it thoroughly with water and, depending on the nature of the original product, using a mild, non-aggressive cleaning agent. The spray pump should be flushed several times with clean water to remove residues of the previous contents. Afterwards, the entire container must be disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation – a practical solution is offered by IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Pour a suitable amount of alcohol into the bottle, activate the spray pump several times so that the disinfectant solution reaches the entire mechanism, and then leave all parts to dry freely. Do not use high temperatures or boiling to avoid deformation of the PET container.
For PET containers it is important to avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures, direct sunlight behind a window, proximity to heating devices or leaving the container in an overheated car. High temperatures can lead to softening or deformation of the plastic and also negatively affect the functionality of the spray pump. For cleaning, use lukewarm water and possibly a mild cleaning agent, never boiling or a dishwasher. During transport and storage, we recommend storing the bottle in an upright position and ensuring that the spray pump is tightly screwed on, thereby minimizing the risk of leakage.
If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend disposing of it in sorted waste according to the material designation given in the product parameters on the website. The PET bottle body is normally disposed of in the container designated for plastics (usually a yellow container). Before disposal, empty the container and, if necessary, briefly rinse it so that no larger product residues remain. The spray pump may be made of a combination of several plastics, so in some regions it is recommended to sort it together with plastics or according to local rules for packaging waste. The spray bottle is ideal for low- to medium-viscosity liquids that need to be applied as a fine mist – cosmetic toners, moisturizing sprays, hair lotions, aromatic and room sprays or auxiliary alcohol-based disinfectant solutions. For formulations with a higher content of essential oils or highly concentrated substances, we recommend first performing a compatibility test: fill a small amount of product, monitor the behaviour of the container, spray performance and any changes to the plastic or seals over time. If changes occur (e.g. softening, discoloration, deteriorated pump operation), choose another type of container or dispensing system.
