The plastic bottle with disc-top closure represents a practical and reliable packaging for liquid products, which facilitates dosing as well as everyday use. Thanks to its transparent design, you have instant visual control of the contents, which is ideal for cosmetic formulations, cleaning solutions or homemade blends. The disc-top mechanism enables convenient, clean and controlled dispensing without the need to open the bottle completely, thereby reducing the risk of spillage or contamination of the contents.
The packaging is designed to be suitable for filling liquid products of various viscosities – from light toners to thicker emulsions. Thanks to the durable plastic material, the bottle is suitable for both professional and home use and withstands normal handling during storage and transport well. It is an ideal solution for cosmetic manufacturers, handmade creators and smaller brands that are looking for functional and aesthetic packaging.
Plastic bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the specific product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosing, mechanism stability and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (pH, alcohol content, oil content or active substances).
When choosing a closure or dispenser, it is advisable to take into account the type of product (water, emulsion, gel, oil), the required dosing intensity and the intended use (travel size, home use, professional salons). For more viscous products, we recommend prioritising closures and pumps with sufficiently wide channels to ensure smooth dispensing without clogging.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. When working with the packaging, we recommend following this information and adapting to it the type of filled formulation, the method of storage and the transport conditions.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene rules are observed and the full functionality of the closure is maintained. Before each subsequent filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant solution, allow the packaging to dry completely before filling it again.
For regular cleaning, we recommend lukewarm water with a mild, well-soluble detergent and thorough rinsing so that no residues of cleaning agent remain in the packaging. It is then advisable to rinse the packaging once more with distilled or demineralised water. After mechanical cleaning, the step of disinfection is important – you can use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose and follow the recommended procedures according to the product description. Then allow the bottle and the closure to dry thoroughly at room temperature, away from sources of direct heat.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters. Before handing it over for separate collection, empty the bottle, rinse out any remaining contents if necessary and remove any coarse dirt. Then place it in the relevant container for sorted waste according to local rules (for example plastic collection). The closure can be recycled together with the bottle, unless otherwise stated in the parameters. By recycling, you reduce the amount of waste and contribute to more sustainable handling of packaging material.
Plastic packaging in general is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, such as boiling, sterilisation in boiling water or washing in a dishwasher with hot programmes. Under excessive thermal stress, deformation of the packaging, change of shape or deterioration of the closure’s functionality may occur. We therefore recommend cleaning the bottle only at moderate temperatures and carrying out disinfection chemically using a suitable alcohol, not by thermal sterilisation. Always adapt the exact limits of use to the information in the product parameters and to the type of plastic stated in the Packaging Quality Certificate.
