Glass bottle – medicine bottle is a professional packaging solution ideal for precise dosing of liquid and powder formulations in cosmetics and artisan production. High‑quality glass provides a stable environment for sensitive formulations and helps protect the contents under proper storage conditions. Thanks to the suitably shaped body of the bottle, the packaging is comfortable to handle during filling, labelling and dispensing.
The medicine‑bottle shape is popular for serums, active solutions, concentrated blends and preparations where reliable closure, controlled dosing and long‑term product stability are important. The packaging is suitable for use with various types of closures and dispensers available in the Handymade range, so you can easily adapt it to the needs of your project.
The glass bottle alone is compatible with various types of closures and dosing methods that you can find in the Handymade range. Depending on the selected parameters, you can combine it, for example, with screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators for targeted application.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly by Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for products containing acids, a high proportion of alcohol or essential oils.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if handled carefully, but always in compliance with strict hygiene principles. Before each new filling, we recommend washing the bottle thoroughly, checking that it is undamaged, and then cleaning and disinfecting it. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant‑based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated is the packaging ready for refilling.
Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry. It is then advisable to disinfect the inner surface with alcohol – for example using IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured, making sure that all alcohol residues have completely evaporated before filling with the final product.
When selecting a closure or dispenser, it is important to match the type of bottle neck with the desired method of product application. For liquid serums and watery solutions, droppers or pipette closures are suitable; for toners and sprays, fine mist sprayers; and for oil blends, droppers or precise applicators. In the product detail you will find related compatible closures for which the manufacturer has verified correct fit on the packaging. Nevertheless, we always recommend testing sealing and dosing with your specific formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting regulations and the information stated in the product parameters. As a rule, the glass bottle can be placed in the appropriate recycling container after removing product residues and separating any plastic or metal closures. The specific recycling symbol and the recommended method of disposal can be found in the parameter table for the given product on Handymade.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter that you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the selected packaging category (for example bottles, jars or dispensers). In the filter you can combine parameters such as neck type, size, colour and packaging material, which allows you to quickly narrow the range to packaging that matches your project. This procedure enables you to efficiently find compatible combinations of bottles and closures even for a more complex product portfolio.
Yes, smaller glass bottles are very practical for development and test batches, stability testing and sample archiving. They allow you to prepare several variants of the same formulation in a smaller volume and monitor the behaviour of the product over time. During development we recommend working with the same type of packaging that you plan to use for the final product, so that you obtain the most relevant data possible on stability, viscosity and dosing under real usage conditions.
