The glass bottle with spray pump is a universal container suitable for gentle and hygienic dispensing of liquid preparations in the form of a fine mist or spray. It represents a practical solution for various cosmetic, aromatherapeutic or laboratory formulations where precise, clean and controlled dispensing without the contents coming into contact with the user’s hands is important. The blue glass also protects more sensitive components from the effects of light and thus helps to maintain the stability and quality of the stored product.
Before first filling, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent and warm water, then allowing it to dry completely. For more professional use, it is appropriate to disinfect the glass with alcohol (e.g. IPA or ethanol) and only then fill it with the product. The spray pump can be rinsed through with a small amount of alcohol and clean water while pressing the mechanism several times so that the circuit is flushed through.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using alcohol-based disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use products available on Handymade, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, it is important to allow the bottle and spray pump to dry thoroughly in order to prevent impairment of the stability of the new product.
Thanks to the spray pump, the container is ideal for liquid preparations that should be applied in the form of a fine spray or mist. These include in particular facial and body sprays, toners, hair sprays, aromatherapeutic blends, disinfectant solutions and interior or fabric sprays. For more viscous emulsions or oil blends, it is advisable to test in advance whether the viscosity will allow smooth spraying without clogging the mechanism.
It is recommended to store the filled bottle in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Although the blue glass helps to reduce the effect of light on the contents, for sensitive components (e.g. essential oils or active ingredients) it is still appropriate to keep the container in a closed cupboard or drawer. It is also important to avoid extreme temperature fluctuations, which could negatively affect the consistency and stability of the formulation.
Before recycling, it is appropriate to completely empty the bottle and give it a basic rinse so that no product residues remain inside. The glass body of the bottle is usually sorted into a container designated for glass, while the plastic part of the spray pump belongs in mixed or plastic waste according to local sorting rules. Specific recommendations for recycling are based on the material composition stated in the product parameters and on local legislation – we therefore recommend always following the instructions of your collection system.
