Plastic bottle made of PET material with a silver disc top closure represents a practical and elegant solution for packaging various liquid cosmetic preparations. The transparent container allows for visual control of the contents, which is ideal for DIY production as well as professional product filling. Thanks to the suitably chosen material, the packaging is lightweight, resistant to normal handling and suitable for dispensing liquids, gels or lighter emulsions.
The disc top closure enables convenient and controlled dispensing without unscrewing the entire bottle, which reduces the risk of contamination of the contents during frequent use. The PET material is designed so that, with proper use, it retains its shape and clean appearance, while being suitable for home and semi-professional cosmetic and hygiene projects.
This bottle is supplied directly with a disc top closure, representing a functional and tested combination of packaging and closure created directly on Handymade. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
When changing the type of closure or dispensing system (for example when using another pump or applicator from the Handymade range), it is advisable to test in particular the tightness of the closure, the consistency of dispensing and the stability of the packaging in long-term contact with the specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Since this is a plastic packaging made of PET material, it is necessary to follow several principles during use: PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, which may pose a risk of deformation of the packaging. This type of bottle is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. Gentle hand cleaning at lower temperatures is recommended, as well as the use of suitable disinfectants intended for cosmetic packaging.
The bottle can be reused if strict hygiene rules and suitable storage conditions are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for cosmetic use. In the Handymade range you will find, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol 1 l and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based 1 l, which are suitable for disinfecting packaging before filling. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely so that the composition of the product is not impaired.
The PET packaging should be cleaned by hand using lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, without the use of aggressive chemicals and rough sponges. PET material is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures – do not boil the bottle and do not wash it in a dishwasher, to avoid deformation of the walls or reduction of mechanical stability. After washing, we recommend disinfecting the packaging with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, allowing it to drain and to dry completely before refilling.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. The body of the packaging is usually made of PET and belongs in the container intended for plastic waste; before disposal, it is advisable to remove product residues, labels and to separate the individual parts of the packaging (bottle body and closure) as much as possible. Recycling rules are based on the material designation in the parameter table for the specific product on Handymade, therefore it is advisable to check them before disposal and follow local waste sorting rules.
The disc top closure is ideal in particular for liquid to medium-viscosity products such as toners, gels, shower products, light emulsions or liquid hygiene preparations. For very thick creams or balms, dispensing through a disc top may be less comfortable. In such a case, it is advisable to consider another type of packaging or a combination with a closure and dispenser intended for more viscous formulations. We always recommend performing a trial filling to verify the smoothness of dispensing with the specific product.
When looking for suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars, pots or pumps). In the advanced filter you can conveniently sort products according to key parameters such as neck type and size, overall size of the packaging, colour and material. This allows you to quickly find a suitable combination of packaging and closure for a specific formulation, whether it is a liquid, gel or emulsion product.
When filling, it is important that the product has an appropriate temperature – do not fill hot or freshly sterilised solutions with too high a temperature, in order to avoid damage to the PET material and reduction of the service life of the packaging. We recommend storing the contents in a dry and cooler place, protected from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Before starting sales or long-term use, always perform your own stability tests to verify the behaviour of the product in contact with the packaging over the entire intended shelf life.
