Before the final use of the packaging, we recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing the resistance to the intended type of content under normal storage conditions.
If the packaging is made of PET material, it is necessary to take into account its specific behaviour at higher temperatures – the technical limits are specified in more detail in the quality certificate.

FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Can this bottle be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly mechanically cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature and only then refill them with your product.

How to safely clean and disinfect the bottle with sprayer without damaging the material?

For cleaning, we recommend first rinsing the container with warm (not boiling) water and a mild cleaning agent, and rinsing thoroughly with clean water. It is then advisable to carry out disinfection by rinsing the inner space and suction tube with an alcohol solution, for example with preparations based on isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available on Handymade. Use only such disinfectants that are compatible with the given material and your final product, and allow all parts to dry completely.

Is the plastic material of this bottle suitable for exposure to higher temperatures or washing in a dishwasher?

If the bottle is made of PET material, it is not suitable to expose it to high temperatures or sudden thermal shocks. When the recommended temperatures are exceeded, the packaging may become deformed or its mechanical stability may deteriorate. For this reason, washing in a dishwasher or boiling is not recommended. For routine maintenance, manual cleaning in moderately warm water and disinfection with alcohol at room temperature is sufficient.

How to recycle this packaging correctly if I do not want to use it repeatedly?

Before handing over for recycling, we recommend emptying the packaging as much as possible and removing any remaining contents. The subsequent method of sorting depends on the material specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website – therefore follow the recycling symbol and the recommended type of collection container (for example, a container for plastic). In the case of a combination of different materials (bottle body and sprayer), it is advisable to disassemble the packaging into individual parts and sort them according to the predominant material, in accordance with local waste management rules.
