Glass dropper bottle with safety pipette represents a professional solution for precise and hygienic dispensing of liquid preparations. Durable clear glass ensures good visibility of the contents, which makes it easier to check clarity, colour and any sediments, and the reliable pipette with safety feature helps minimise unwanted product leakage during use and transport. This type of packaging is popular for the production of artisan cosmetics, concentrated blends and products where controlled drop-by-drop dosing is important.
The glass medicine bottle is a standardised packaging that is available on Handymade with a functional safety pipette. The bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected in the packaging category. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for preparations with a higher proportion of alcohol, acids or essential oils.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and pipette and then disinfecting them with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and evaporated is the bottle ready for a new filling.
It is advisable to first disassemble the pipette into individual parts to the extent allowed by its design (rubber bulb, glass part, and possibly the plastic closure). It is recommended to rinse with warm water and detergent, then rinse with clean water, and finally disinfect with alcohol. After treatment with the disinfectant solution, let all components air dry at room temperature. Before reassembling, check that no residues of cleaning agents or moisture are present, so that the new fill is not compromised.
The medicine bottle is ideal for products that require precise dropwise dosing or dosing in small volume. Most often these are facial and eye serums, concentrated oil blends, active cosmetic ingredients, hair treatments, aromatherapeutic blends and perfume concentrates. Thanks to the safety pipette, it is also suitable for products that you carry with you, as the safety feature helps reduce the risk of accidental opening or leakage of the contents in a bag or cosmetic case.
If you decide not to use the packaging any more, we recommend as a first step to empty it and remove any remaining contents. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in a container intended for glass, in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The pipette and closure may contain a combination of materials (glass, plastic, rubber), so it is advisable to separate them and follow the recommendations given in the parameter table for this product on the Handymade website. In case of doubt, prefer handing over the entire packaging at a collection yard or collection point that can ensure professional handling of combined materials.
The simplest way to choose a suitable packaging is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging category. This filter is located at the top of the page after clicking on the category (for example bottles, medicine bottles, jars and similar). Using the filter, you can clearly select parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material and quickly narrow down the selection to only those containers that meet your requirements. Thanks to this, you can easily find a bottle or jar suitable for a specific formulation and method of product application.
The key to trouble-free use is correct filling and screwing on of the closure. Do not fill the bottle completely to the brim so that there is space for air when closing and liquid is not forced into the thread. After pouring the product, wipe the neck and the thread dry and then tighten the closure smoothly, without over-tightening. For the first filling, we recommend performing a trial test – open, close and gently tilt the bottle several times and check whether it remains dry. For more viscous oils or a high proportion of essential oils, it is also advisable to carry out a short-term stress test to be sure of long-term functionality.
