The bottle can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or etanol 96 % denaturovany rastlinny, available at /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ and /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/. Disinfection helps to minimize the risk of microbial contamination in both home and professional cosmetic production.

Before first use and between individual batches we recommend first mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent and thoroughly rinsing with clean water), then allowing it to dry completely and afterwards disinfecting it with alcohol. In practice, rinsing with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and then allowing the remaining alcohol to evaporate has proven effective. It is not necessary to boil the glass packaging unless the manufacturing procedures require specific sterilization – for home cosmetic production a thorough combination of cleaning and disinfection is usually sufficient.

When selecting accessories, we recommend following the parameters given with the product and choosing compatible closures, droppers or other dispensing systems directly from the Handymade range. The combinations that are created on the site as related packaging and closures are tested and functional. Nevertheless, before serial production it is advisable to carry out your own test – to verify that the closure seals well, dispenses the required amount and that the formulation does not affect the sealing material or the packaging during long-term storage.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to local waste-sorting rules. The glass part of the bottle can be placed in a container intended for glass after removing any product residues and any plastic or metal components. Sort the closures and dispensing parts according to the material specified in the product parameters on the Handymade website – usually into the appropriate container for plastics or metals. By following the recommended sorting, you support efficient material recovery and waste reduction.
