Clear glass jar with aluminium lid represents an elegant and practical solution for packaging cosmetic and craft products where the visual presentation of the contents is important. Clear glass allows for immediate inspection of the fill level, making the jar ideal for clear labelling, layered products and small batches of made‑to‑order preparations.
This universal container is suitable for creamy, gel‑based and loose (powdery) formulations and, thanks to the combination of glass and a metal closure, provides a stable environment for the contents. The sturdy aluminium lid helps minimise the ingress of air and external contaminants, which supports a longer shelf life and comfortable use in everyday skincare routines.
This description refers to the complete jar with lid, which is supplied as a functional unit ready for direct filling. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation), especially for formulations with a higher content of oils, acids or active substances.

Yes, the jar can be reused if hygiene principles are followed, which is particularly beneficial when producing your own natural cosmetics or refilling your favourite products. However, before each new filling, the jar and lid must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using suitable alcohol‑based preparations such as isopropyl alcohol available on the page IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or plant‑based ethanol Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and any impact on the stability of your formulation.
The jar is particularly ideal for thicker cosmetic formulations such as creams, balms, butters, ointments, scrubs or solid products. Thanks to the wide opening, the contents are easy to scoop out and can be accurately dosed as needed. It also works well for samples, travel sizes and smaller test batches, where you will appreciate the clarity of the clear glass and the ability to quickly check the product’s texture or colour visually.
After the contents have been used up, first mechanically remove any product residues and wash the jar in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent. Then allow the glass container to dry thoroughly. Before refilling, the jar and lid must be disinfected with an alcohol‑based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Allow the disinfectant to act for a short time and then let the container air‑dry completely so that the residual alcohol evaporates and does not affect the stability of the filled formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product specifications. Dispose of the glass part, free of product residues, in the container designated for glass, and sort the metal lid according to local rules for metal packaging. Before disposal, it is advisable to at least roughly rinse the container to minimise cosmetic residues in the recycling stream. Always adapt the specific separation method to the material designation in the parameter table and the applicable separate collection rules in your municipality.
