Glass bottle – medicine bottle with black-and-gold spray pump represents an elegant and functional packaging for carefully prepared liquid formulations. Thanks to the high-quality glass and precise spraying mechanism, it is suitable for filling products where gentle and even dosing with each use is important. The combination of a clear medicine bottle and a designer spray pump enables professional packaging of products in small batches, including for artisanal and handmade production.
This bottle is ideal for liquid cosmetic preparations where controlled application in the form of a fine mist or targeted dose directly onto the skin or a specific area is required. The transparent glass also allows visual control of the contents and the remaining amount of product, which facilitates work during filling as well as during use.
This packaging is supplied as a combination of a glass bottle and a spray pump, designed so that together they form a functional unit with comfortable dosing in the form of a fine spray. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially when using a high proportion of alcohol, essential oils or other active substances.

Glass packaging is generally a suitable choice for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils, because glass typically does not react with them and helps maintain the stability of the formula. For a specific product, however, we always recommend performing your own test – fill a smaller amount of the formulation, observe the behaviour of the packaging (sealing, function of the spray pump and stability of scent and colour), and only then proceed to filling the entire batch.
The packaging can be reused provided that hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcoholic solution, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Disinfection must be carried out in such a way that all parts that come into contact with the contents are thoroughly treated. Only after the alcohol has completely dried is the packaging ready for refilling.
We recommend first thoroughly rinsing the glass part of the medicine bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinsing it repeatedly with clean water and allowing it to dry. It is then advisable to disinfect the inside of the packaging and the neck using alcohol (e.g. IPA or ethanol), which is left to act and evaporate freely. For the spray pump, it is important to rinse the dip tube as well as the mechanism itself – ideally by spraying clean water through it several times and then disinfecting with alcohol. Only after all parts have completely dried is the packaging ready for new use.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the medicine bottle can generally be placed, after removing product residues and separating plastic components, in the appropriate glass container, while the spray pump and smaller plastic parts are sorted into the container intended for plastic. Always follow local waste-sorting regulations and the information in the parameter table on the product page on the Handymade website so that recycling is as effective as possible.
