However, these properties predispose them to be poisonous or toxic in their pure state, their dosage in cosmetic products is minimal.

Preservavnt 1388 eco plus is an advanced broad spectrum antimicrobial ingredient designed for the preservation of cosmetic products. It contains levulinic acid sodium salt, anisic acid sodium salt, glycerin and water, making it 100% natural and vegan. Thanks to the optimal ratio of active ingredients, it provides reliable protection against bacteria, yeasts and moulds, without causing discolouration or odour change in the final product.

Use in formulation:

• Solubility: completely soluble in water.

• Recommended dosage: 2,5 - 5,0 % depending on the pH of the formulation.

• pH range of effectiveness: 3.5 - 6.0 (best results in this range).

• Incorporation: added to the aqueous phase during mixing, can be heated up to 80 °C.

• Recommendation: add before homogenisation to ensure even distribution of the active ingredients.
