Milky white glass jar with plastic lid is a professional packaging material suitable for filling modern cosmetic formulations as well as for artisanal production. Thanks to the high‑quality glass and practical closure, it provides a stable and aesthetic solution for packaging creams, ointments, balms and other products with a thicker consistency. The opaque character of the milky glass naturally helps protect more sensitive components from the effects of light and contributes to better stability of the final product.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). In this way you will ensure reliable use of the packaging during long‑term storage as well as in everyday handling.

Yes, the glass jar is suitable for a wide spectrum of cosmetic products with thicker to semi‑solid consistency, such as creams, butters, balms, ointments or scrubs. Before final stocking we recommend testing the behaviour of your specific formula in the packaging (stability of colour, scent and consistency) under the planned storage conditions.
The jar can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling it is necessary to wash the packaging thoroughly, dry it and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. In this way you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the safety of use of the final product.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. The glass container can usually, after being cleaned of product residues, be sorted into the container for glass, the plastic lid (according to the material designation in the parameters) into the appropriate container for plastics. Before recycling always check the pictograms and recommendations in the parameter table on the product page so that recycling is in accordance with local waste‑sorting rules.
When filling, we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible, using clean tools and not overheating the mass directly in the packaging. Fill the product at a temperature suitable for the given formula so that neither the closure is damaged nor undesired changes in consistency occur. For storage it is ideal to keep filled jars in a dry, cooler and shaded place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat, thereby supporting the stability and service life of the cosmetic product.
