Combining with closures and dispensers

However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this glass jar be used repeatedly?

Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling it is important to thoroughly clean both the container and the lid, and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the shelf life of the stored product.

How should I properly clean the jar before first and repeated use?

Before first use we recommend washing the jar in lukewarm water with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing it to dry completely. It is then advisable to disinfect the inner part of the glass container and the inside of the lid with alcohol (for example IPA 99 % or 96 % plant-based ethanol) and allow it to air out. For repeated use proceed in the same way and always make sure that no residues of the previous product or cleaning agent remain in the packaging.

Is this packaging also suitable for storing products with a higher content of oils or active ingredients?

From a material perspective, the glass jar is stable and also suitable for formulations with a higher content of plant oils, butters or common cosmetic active ingredients. Nevertheless, for new recipes we recommend carrying out a trial filling in a smaller quantity and observing the behaviour of the product in contact with the packaging for several days to weeks (stability of fragrance, colour, texture and the sealing of the closure). In this way you verify the compatibility of the specific formula with the packaging under your storage conditions.

How should I correctly dispose of or recycle the jar if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part can generally be placed in the container designated for glass after removing any product residues, while the lid must be sorted according to the type of material (plastic, metal or a combination according to the marking). Before recycling, remove as much product residue as possible to facilitate processing in collection systems.
