Milky glass jar with silver lid represents an elegant and professional packaging solution suitable for smaller amounts of creamy, gel-like and loose preparations. The opaque milky glass helps to reduce light penetration to more sensitive formulations, thereby supporting the stability and longevity of the contents. Thanks to the high-quality lid with reliable threading, the jar is suitable for packaging products where clean dispensing and protection of the formula from contamination are important.
This jar forms a complete combination of container and lid, so it is ready for immediate use without the need to look for a separate closure. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – to verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for products with a higher content of acids, alcohol or essential oils.

Yes, the glass jar is suitable for packaging a wide range of natural and conventional cosmetic products such as creams, balms, ointments or gels. It is recommended to fill it only after the products have completely cooled down, in order to prevent water condensation on the walls of the jar and on the inner side of the lid. For formulations with a higher content of essential oils or alcohol, it is advisable to make a trial batch and monitor the stability of the product over time.
The jar can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling it is important to thoroughly wash the container, remove residues of the previous product and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant-based ethanol. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and aired out is the jar ready for further use.
For filling the jar we recommend using clean working tools, for example spatulas or smaller dosing containers that have been washed and disinfected. Fill the product into a dry, cooled and disinfected jar in the cleanest environment possible. Avoid touching the inner part of the jar and lid with your hands in order to reduce the risk of microbial contamination. After filling, close the jar and store it according to the nature of the product (for example away from direct sunlight and sources of heat).
If you decide not to reuse the jar, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The glass part, after removing product residues and basic cleaning, can be sorted into the container intended for glass. The lid is made of a different material than the body of the jar, so it is usually sorted separately according to the material designation listed in the product parameters. When recycling, follow the recycling symbols and the recommendations in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade.sk website.
