The transparent plastic bottle with disc-top cap represents a practical and professional packaging for liquid and gel products, which is ideal for cosmetic brands, artisan production and smaller batches of finished preparations. Thanks to the transparent body, the colour, structure and fill level are clearly visible, which simplifies dosing as well as stock control. The elegant disc-top cap with gold finish and white centre gives the packaging a representative appearance suitable for final packaging of products intended for sale or for gift sets.
The packaging is designed to allow comfortable and controlled dosing in everyday use, without the need to unscrew the cap. Thanks to the reliable closure, it helps to limit unwanted leakage during storage and transport.
The combinations of packaging and caps that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). When developing new formulations, it is advisable to verify the behaviour of the packaging during long-term storage, during transport and at different product viscosities.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. When planning the final packaging, we recommend checking the compliance of the chosen packaging with the requirements for volume, neck type, compatibility with the cap and the nature of the product being filled.
The disc-top cap is practical for low- to medium-viscosity products such as shower gels, shampoos, body lotions or cleansing face toners. For very thick creams or balms we recommend considering another type of packaging (for example a jar or a bottle with pump) so that dosing is comfortable and smooth. It is advisable to test the viscosity of the formulation directly in this packaging and, if necessary, adjust the composition or choose another type of dosing.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed, especially for your own home or artisan production. Before each new filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using technical alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the fragrance or stability of the product. When switching to a completely different type of fill (e.g. from a perfumed product to an unperfumed one), we recommend testing whether any residues of the original fragrance remain in the packaging.
To choose a suitable bottle, vial or jar you can use the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. It is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category and enables filtering according to several parameters – in particular according to neck type, size, colour and material of the packaging. Thanks to this you can quickly narrow down the selection to packaging that will be compatible with the selected caps and at the same time will match your brand design as well as the technical requirements of the formulations.
Before refilling, first remove residues of the original product, rinse the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent and then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Afterwards, the packaging must be disinfected – it is recommended to use alcohol-based solutions such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and cap to dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid exposure to very high temperatures so that the plastic is not deformed, and do not boil the packaging or wash it in a dishwasher.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with the information given in the product parameters and the relevant recycling symbol on the packaging. Before placing it in the separate collection, remove product residues, rinse the bottle and, where possible, separate the individual parts (for example, bottle body and cap) if they are made of different materials. Then dispose of them in the collection container intended for the given type of plastic according to local waste-sorting rules. This improves the possibility of material recovery and reduces the amount of waste ending up in landfills.
